Transparent CTC 3D Printer Filament Tube Holder

I made these for my transparent acrylic case CTC printer, which I bought on Ebay in February of 2014. This great printer had one major flaw - it lacked a secure place to mount the filament tubes. These custom clips allow me to keep the filament tube farther back and higher up than usual, making them ideal for larger spools like the triple-thick spools used for PushPlastic. You'll need two pieces: one for each side. They clip on tight but I also secure mine with a small piece of clear packing tape for added stability. Check out my photo to see what I mean. If your filament tube is slightly too small, just wrap some scotch tape around it until it fits snugly into the clips. Some tubes fit perfectly while others need a bit more help - no problem! One thing to keep in mind: these won't work with a CTC case that has a wooden frame.
