Transitional Slab
sketchfab
This weathered tombstone panel exhibits a transitional style, suggesting it originated in the early 13th century. Found in Clonfert Cathedral's transept, it features a Romanesque lower edge and is missing its wings and upper border. The ornamentation consists of two lines enclosing an empty space. It could be part of a period when the cathedral underwent enhancement and reorganization, possibly around the time the ornate baptismal font and the similarly decorated east window were installed there.
