Transition piece between 5-degree camber and flat-on-ground – 175mm long (half straight) - slot car track and borders to suit Scalextric. Outer support wall built right in to the design. Kerb tiles printed separately to allow different colors. I've been printing the track-pieces on edge in a Creality CR-10 3D printer. The print is 175mm high, 325mm long, and 59mm wide. I use 0.45 layer height and 0.45mm width with an E3D Lite 6 extruder sporting a 0.6mm tip. I slice on Cura using PLA plastic. All parts are designed to print without additional support except for the clip. The track-piece prints without support when printed on edge. Two of the files say "w toes" at the end - those are the ones I use. The toes keep the ends on the bed and get cut off after the print is finished. Post-processing steps: • Clean up the track piece. • Attach two clips using PLA welding. • Sand the track smooth next to slots using sandpaper glued to a sanding wheel. • Attach adhesive-backed copper foil to act as rails for electricity, continuing it under the track. • Attach adhesive-backed copper foil to connector's. • Paint the border area if desired (beige in photo). • Interweave colored kerb prints (red and white in photos), gluing them into channels.
