Transistor ZIF Socket
thingiverse
I fabricated a zero-insertion-force socket for a transistor. To create the contacts, I employed aluminum foil. Working with aluminum foil presents a challenge when it comes to soldering, as it is notoriously difficult to bond with traditional solder. One option is to research and apply established techniques, such as soldering under oil, or purchase specialized aluminum solder paste that facilitates easier joining.
