This is a two-part enclosure for the Hiland M12864 transistor tester. The device can be purchased at www.banggood.com/DIY-M12864-Graphics-Version-Transistor-Tester-Kit-LCR-ESR-PWM-p-986954.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN. The bottom part contains a USB connector, a DC/DC step-up converter, and a 7809 regulator to provide a stable 9V power supply from the USB port. It is essential to have a ceramic capacitor on the output for optimal performance. The top and bottom parts are clipped together securely. To lock the M12864 into place, you can heat M3 nuts with a soldering iron into the feet (refer to the picture). This will ensure that the device remains stable and functional. It is crucial to connect the Zif connector on risers. A support is provided to help secure it in place using hot glue so that it does not move. However, it's essential to avoid using superglue as it can cause problems (this has been personally experienced). The enclosure also features banana jacks and a temporary SMD tester made from copper sticky tape.
