Transistor - 10" Desk Weapon Series
thingiverse
The Transistor sword from the game Transistor takes center stage as my top pick in my 10" Desk Weapon series. Like most of my designs, I tweaked the original style to make it print-friendly. I used Grey Matteforge's Matte PLA filament to bring this design to life, courtesy of Printed Solid: https://www.printedsolid.com/ This sword features a slender handle, so I added a 2.4mm hole for reinforcement. For this purpose, I chose Ook's 14-gauge wire: https://www.homedepot.com/p/OOK-14-Gauge-x-100-ft-Galvanized-Steel-Wire-50142/100200924 To straighten the wire, simply place it between a block of wood and a drill. Searching YouTube for "straighten wire control rods" will yield a helpful video demonstrating this process. A STEP file has been included in the downloads to facilitate customization. This design could be adapted into an impressive full-size prop!
