Transformers War for Cybertron Siege Throne
thingiverse
Where a Cybertronian warlord settles his weary form after a long, grueling eon of brutally dismantling rival factions? On an imposing throne, naturally. WFC Siege is shaping up to be a brutal and war-torn chapter in the lives of our small plastic companions, and I felt compelled to acquire some accessories. Perhaps this will mark the beginning of some type of diorama-style setup. I'm not entirely sure, but I've started with the centerpiece. I've clearly drawn inspiration from the SDCC Throne of the Primes released earlier this year. However, I didn't want it to solely reference POTP, so I omitted the Prime Master insignia. Instead, I incorporated Autobot and Decepticon insignia from G1, G2, and BW, attempting to satisfy everyone's desires - perhaps we'll even see some beasties as the WFC Trilogy unfolds. There are three "banners" that attach to holes on the backrest of the throne. The banners, along with the front "ramp" area, currently feature Cybertronian text in line with the Siege theme. Feel free to decipher it, enthusiasts! Additionally, there are 5 mm square and round ports scattered throughout the throne, allowing for the placement of weapons with 5 mm pegs or Titan Masters and Prime Masters. The completed version shown was printed in ABS at a layer height of 0.15 mm and 10% infill. It was painted using Testors Acrylics. Supports are only required for the "vents" on the lower left and right of the seat, between the horizontal bars on the back of the seat, and beneath the banners. I also removed some material from the bottom of the throne to reduce its surface area in contact with the print bed, decrease printing time and material, and hopefully simplify print removal. UPDATE! I've uploaded Version 2 of the throne (don't worry - Version 1 is still available for download). This new version features increased seat height to accommodate taller figures more comfortably (Voyager class). I also added some additional details using the newly available space on the front of the throne, including Siege-inspired insignia and designs as well as two mounting points for chaining pets, slaves, or prisoners to the front of the throne. Check out the picture of Siege Lionizer chained to the front of the throne for reference. This version is designed to be printed in four main pieces to accommodate smaller printers while maximizing printed detail quality on the lower front face plates. It also uses the same three banners as Version 1. Let me know what you all think. Your comments and suggestions are welcome!
