Transformers Studio Series - Scrapmetal Robot Mode Accuracy Kit
thingiverse
While Studio Series Scrapmetal is a totally solid design, it doesn't line up with the concept art of this small victim. These parts do not lead to a fully accurate, highly detailed figure, but they at least boost his accuracy and coolness factor. Unfortunately, this means that you cannot keep these parts on when transforming into vehicle mode. The pods peg onto the back, making use of the peg and hole system used to transform the figure into vehicle mode. Fold away the original claw hand to attach the right claw. It uses a square hole on the side to fit over the tab used for vehicle mode. There are holes for you to insert some filament or wire to make the design more interesting. I used TPU filament. Fold away the original claw hand to attach the left claw. It uses the peghole on the side that the removable panel would normally peg into. The design is very complex and difficult to print well, so it's split into separate parts. The removable panel can be pegged onto the side of this new forearm piece. I try to pre-position parts in what I found to be the best position, however even then I find these positions a bit tricky. I would recommend experimenting if you think you could find another way to do it.
