Transformers G1 Blaster Foot
thingiverse
I've accumulated a substantial collection of Transformers over the years, and many have become inoperable or are missing crucial components due to wear and tear. As a newcomer to 3D printing and still learning the ins and outs of Fusion 360, I decided to take on the challenge of creating replacement parts for my G1 Blaster part bot. The foot, whether left or right, was one of the key components that needed attention. To ensure the integrity of my original parts, I carefully measured them while still attached. This allowed me to accurately replicate their dimensions and ensure a seamless fit. However, my initial prints were too tight, necessitating some fine-tuning with sandpaper to achieve the desired level of flexibility. While the new foot will slide in easily, it may also be prone to popping out unexpectedly. One notable difference between my printed replacement and the original is the bottom surface. Unlike the textured lines found on the authentic part, mine has a smooth, flat finish. I'm still learning the intricacies of Fusion 360, but if that lack of detail doesn't pose an issue for you, then I'm happy to share my creation with you.
