TRANSFORMER EXTENSION (SPACER)
cults3d
Hi, I'm sure one of you has been in a similar situation! You all use a small transformer, power supply (or power adapter) to power one of your small consumption electrical device like : piano power supply, network switch, screen, effects pedal,... etc... In short the list is too long :/ In any case in my case it is a transformer brand "IBANEZ" 230V/9V with the particularity to have the negative in the center (less standard). As you can imagine, the external cord was cut just at the exit, at the edge of the box, ARGH!!! Impossible to consider a soldering, we have to disassemble. Unfortunately and this is where it gets complicated, no lead that would hide a screw, no clips to bypass.... Everything is glued from the factory, no way to open the damn box... Trepanning is the only solution, too bad. I will "dismantle" it with the Dremel, saw it, dissect it... Then it will not be possible to close it again.... EXCEPT... Fortunately, everything becomes possible with PLA (Hurray!) I made this little riser, (or spacer) to allow me to close it up. I included "loops" to slide in what I had on hand, (a velcro for cables). I also put small openings because it is a version that heats up a bit. I took the opportunity to make it ventilated ;) You will see that this one is according to this model, but it is likely that you have an almost identical one, quit to modify (adapt) on your copy. If so, you'll be able to re-habilitate your old transformers that have been put aside, lol! Good Print' LTDO
