Trammel Spinning Mechanism
thingiverse
This eight-part device is known as a Trammel, which draws ovals while also being entertaining to play with. It stands out from other designs due to its three sliders. Printing takes 2 hours at 50% scale and 200 micron layers. Inspired by a friend's gif, I designed it using Cubify Design. Feel free to suggest improvements. To print, use 200 micron resolution with no supports or rafting, and adjust the size as needed. Orient each part facing upwards except for the pin. If warping occurs, use glue. Print three pins, sliders, a handle (with or without a finger hole), and one main part. Assembly is straightforward; refer to pictures if necessary.
