Train Lights Xmas Caboose
thingiverse
Part of the Train Lights Project is currently underway. This build is designed for a standard LGB Xmas Caboose, but it can also fit other similar cabooses. Replacing the traditional caboose roof with a new one that has light rails for LED strip lighting is what this build accomplishes. Lighting routes through the roof and connects to other equipped train cars to create a full train light display. A Light Controller build will be released soon. This roof consists of 4 main parts: the tower, the tower roof, and the front and back main roofs. All of these components get attached to the train's attach frame using glue. Here are the steps I took: Firstly, I spray painted the parts to the desired color. Secondly, I glued the tower roof to the tower. Thirdly, I glued the back main roof to the roof attach frame and let it dry. Fourthly, I placed the tower on the frame. You don't have to glue if you don't want to. Lastly, I glued the front main roof to the attach frame, which holds the tower in place. Next, run the lights and install the light rails.
