Trailer shock absorber mounts
grabcad
To securely attach a shock absorber on a box or camper trailer, I crafted top and bottom mounts specifically for my trailer. The shocks should ideally stand nearly vertical, with less than a 30-degree incline. A flatter position minimizes the internal piston's travel, enhancing the hydraulic action within the shock. In my setup, the shocks are approximately 15 degrees off perpendicular to the chassis.
