Trail Camera Stand
thingiverse
This is a very stable and light weight mount for trail cameras. Even in windy conditions there is no camera movement. Really quick and easy to set up and once set does not move as it has a very low centre of gravity. I printed in drab green and disappears in foliage once placed. I was prompted to make this after watching the efforts of positioning a log with camera tied to it being moved around the garden. The inspiration was a spotting scope stand I used whilst shooting. I printed using PLA and that seems to be fine. I did attempt ABS but my printer does struggle with that media. The legs are designed to accept 1/4" x 3/4 UNF nut and bolt, I used nyloc nuts Clamp uses a 1/4" x 1 1/2" UNF with the nut encapsulated in the Clamp. (standard nut) The Lever uses 1/4 x 1 1/4 UNC ( fits camera base thread) The Disc and Spacer each have a 1/4" UNC nut encapsulated. (standard nut) The Base is fixed to the body using a 5/16" x 1" Nut and Bolt (Nyloc nut) All bolt heads recess into the pieces. Let me know how you get on. DaveP
