This model is from the anime One Piece. The katana is from the character Law. For this build, you will preferably want these rods. However, it can still be built without them. -10mm rod: Goes through the whole structure of the sword. -3mm rod: Goes through the whole sword twice and through the cover four times. These rods are used to make it easier to align and glue parts. It's also optional to put more rods in just the handle, so you can even out the weight distribution a little bit. To finish the build, I used XTC 3D (https://www.smooth-on.com/product-line/xtc-3d/), which helps smooth the blade really fast and easy. For the build, I used a special technique to wrap the handle, which is used to wrap Japanese katanas (tsuka ito).
