Traditional comb
myminifactory
A set of three combs was created in 1995. Their creator, Romanian Rom Pintea George, used a hand saw and high-grit sandpaper to make many such combs for sale, made of a mass imitating bone. They have wider teeth on one side and thinner and closer teeth on the other. The combs are small, so it was easy to put them in your pocket. Two tooth spacing made it possible to comb tangled or curly or delicate and straight hair. These were combs intended primarily for men - they were also used for hairdressing treatments on the mustache and beard. Interestingly, these types of combs are still used, but most often you can buy them in pet stores, where they are advertised as tools for combing fleas from dog hair. All three combs are made of flexible and hard plastic plates of various origins, so they are a good example of the recycling activity of the Romanian Roma.
