Trading Card Dispenser
thingiverse
I'm designing a remote controlled trading card dispenser. The idea hit me after seeing one on Astromech.net, where I couldn't resist trying my hand at creating one myself. Earlier, I'd seen Mike Flip, a good friend and fellow builder from the UK R2D2 Builders Club, build one a few years ago. After three months of experimenting with different designs and making several changes, this is the final version. The goal was to integrate it into our Astromech droids, allowing us to dispense trading cards to event attendees effortlessly. I've also designed a holder so that once in place, this box can be easily removed, refilled, and reinstalled without worrying about realignment. I built a custom control box by combining a mini 360 voltage regulator, a time delay relay switch, and a remote control unit. There's a video link below showing the dispenser in action and a PDF assembly instruction sheet with a list of bought components to help with print orientation and assembly. This is for the dispenser itself, not the control box.
