Inspired by http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:43035, I helped my brother-in-law's daughters test my 3D printer by designing a tractor on Sketchup (a fun lesson as they learned it at school). We used Meshlab for .stl files and Cura (12.08) for slicing before printing the wheels and body in white, spacers and nuts in gold. Nuts had M4 threaded screws while wheels were held by a nail, axles were M4 threaded rods, exhaust pipe was a toothpick. Their father loved the gift! :-)
