Traction Board

<p>The Traction Board comes in 2 different versions. Logo and non-logo. It is also a functional piece.</p><p><br>The designed knob pattern ensures the best grip even in slippery conditions. With deep contours and raised studs, any tyre will have no trouble gripping onto these traction boards. The backside of the traction boards are designed with a vertical and horizontal rib, this makes the board as stiff as it needs to be and yet still allows some flex to prevent snapping. Therefore a rig as heavy as ahead RC’s <a href="https://www.aheadrc.com/6x6-overlander-custom-build">6x6 Overland</a>, which is 11kg RTR will be able to use this board just fine.&nbsp;</p><p><br>In fact a little demonstration was done by stacking ahead RC’s <a href="https://www.aheadrc.com/swb-mog-custom-build">SWB Mog</a> and&nbsp; <a href="https://www.aheadrc.com/mogmogmogmogmogmog-custom-build">6x6 Mog</a> on top of each other (combined weight of 11.5kg) on the traction board and the board flexed a small amount with no chance of snapping. If you want real usable traction boards, this is it.</p><p><br>As the “1/10” scale is more of a loose standard, feel free to scale up or down in your slicer to fit your own rig, if necessary.&nbsp;</p><p><br>For the Traction Board we recommend printing with an FDM printer, using PLA+, ABS, ASA or other less brittle filaments. This will give the traction board some flexibility without the risk of snapping when using. The print settings shown in the strength test demo was with PLA+ filament at only 10% infill at 0.15mm layer heights.</p><p><br>Printing in resin is possible but not ideal unless using the traction board just for show.&nbsp;</p><p><br>As for painting, we recommend using spray paints made for polycarbonate bodies to prevent paint flaking off when flexed.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Interested in our RC crawler bodies and accessories?
