This 3D model was originally designed with Sketchup 8 before being converted into all other popular 3D formats. Native format is .skp and 3ds Max scene is in 3ds Max 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 This home takes inspiration from classic 40's tract houses that were extremely common in the United States. Mainly used by working-class citizens and newly returning veterans, these homes flooded cities due to a huge spike in housing demand during this period. Built on mass production principles, these homes often appeared almost identical at first glance, but neighborhoods and eras distinguished them slightly from one another. Typically, 2-bedroom homes dominated the landscape, yet this model boasts an unusual 4 bedrooms, as well as a rare treat: 2 full bathrooms in every home was not standard. This model even includes a spacious basement. Unappealing to me were the tract-style kitchens found in many similar homes, which I took on designing instead, making sure the table sits centrally amidst all kitchen amenities, complete with a prominent wrought iron column and picture window adjacent to it for living room purposes. Good storage solutions have been implemented here as well. What appears to be a typical chimney actually connects up into the furnace vent that runs all the way down into the basement. Tract houses can usually be found surrounding industrial sites or cluttered amongst the bustle of downtown areas. Nonetheless, I'm hopeful you'll enjoy this classic American-style house.
