TrackMan Marble Fix 2.0

TrackMan Marble Fix 2.0

You have used your Logitech TrackMan Marble for many years. But suddenly drag and drop stops working reliably. When you press the mouse button for longer than a normal click (e.g when doing a drag and drop move) it will sporadically abort the drop as if you released the mouse button too early. You may blame the micro switches. But replacing them will be only a short term fix. The root cause is the plastic support structures inside your Logitech TrackMan get brittle and fragile over time. On a shiny new TrackMan the board with the buttons sits tight and firm. But as years pass by the support structures weaken and get cracks. This fix replaces the whole support structure by a 3d print. The previous design can be found here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3416522. It just reinforced the existing support structure. But over time the support structures used to anchor the reinforcements also started to weaken. So I went back to the drawing board and revised the previous fix.
