TrackIR 5 Posable Monitor Mount
thingiverse
I love my TrackIR5, but the standard monitor mount/clip provided doesn't work well with my rather fat ASUS gaming monitor. This versatile mount is designed for monitors not compatible with the standard mounting clip. In addition to the printed parts, you'll need: 3 x #6 x 20mm screws 3 x #6 nuts 1 x 50mm x 70mm velcro tape or double-sided tape strip Print two copies of new_arm.stl and one copy of the other parts. First, glue new_clipadaptor.stl to TrackIr5Clip.stl. Then screw the two arms together, and finally attach them to the base and TrackIR clip. Next, attach the velcro tape to the base, and securely fasten the whole assembly to the monitor. Refer to the photos for detailed assembly instructions. I prefer velcro tape as it allows me to easily remove the arm later if needed. Lastly, clip in your TrackIR5 to the arm - it should be snug enough to hold it without any additional support, but you'll need to clip it in upside down (see photos). This is not a problem - simply select 180-degree camera rotation in your TrackIR5 software (see attached screenshot). If your monitor differs from mine, you may need to design or modify new_base.stl for optimal fit. To give you added length or flexibility, print additional copies of new_arm.stl as needed.
