This thing is a fan mount to cool off a TrackIR 4 sensor. These units get very hot, they're barely touchable where the processor is after they've been on a while. I've lost one unit already (probably to heat) and now that it's out of warranty, I can't afford to lose another, so I designed a little removable fan mount to cool it. A slightly breeze is all that's needed to drastically reduce its temperature and extend its life. Instructions The mount is designed to use a little laptop sized fan that blows air out of the side. After you print the part, adhere the fan to the bottom of the top arm (I used some double-sided tape) and if your fan is too noisy like mine, build and adhere a little speed controller to the top of the same arm (you can see I used a liberal amount of hot glue). My little fan runs on only 5v, so I cut up a USB cable to power it. The mount fits in the tall wedge shaped groove on the rear leg of the TrackIR. The speed control circuit is a very simple MOSFET design like this one http://www.eleccircuit.com/linear-light-dimmer-by-power-mosfet/. Size and simplicity was more important than efficiency.
