tracked dart for use with tracked crossbows
thingiverse
Human: 3D printed tracked darts are designed for use with pistol crossbows and other similar devices. Several .STL files are used to create different types of darts. In the photo, a multi-dart is shown in purple and orange, while a single dart is yellow. The multi-darts must be glued together using cyanoacrylate glue or superglue, with clamping in a vise for several hours. Single darts can be used as printed without additional assembly. The "tracked_dart_medium_modifier.stl" file is a modifier that must be used to ensure the dart flies straight and is weighted properly. Set the modifier infill to 60% for optimal performance. The "tracked_dart_medium.stl" file represents a single piece medium size tracked dart. The "tracked_dart_multi_medium_v2.stl" file contains a multi-piece design for a medium size tracked dart, serving as the main body. The "tracked_dart_multi_top_short_v2.stl" file is used to create small or medium size tracked darts with a shorter top section. For optimal results, refer to the Prusaslicer setup video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WS104E0yrSk. Recommended printing materials include PLA; other materials have not been tested. Printing settings include: * Layer Height: 0.1mm or better * Infill: 0% * Perimeters: 2 * Solid Layers: 6 top, 4 bottom * Use thin walls * Set the infill angle so that print lines on top and bottom layers run lengthwise for minimal resistance as the dart slides down the track.
