My wife expertly procured an adjustable screen replacement for our sliding glass door, only to discover that the accompanying wheels were too petite to span the entire track. Frustrated by the barely operable door's metallic scraping sound, I realized that fabricating replacements could be a feasible solution. After a brief excursion into Sketchup and subsequent printing, my problem was effortlessly resolved! The freshly created wheels now adequately span the top and bottom tracks, and the door operates seamlessly. To facilitate installation, I strategically drilled holes for the axles near the original wheels and skillfully utilized a heated leather working tool to fuse both axle ends in place. This precise maneuver allowed me to smoothly integrate the new parts into our sliding glass door system.
