track saw rail hold down

Hold down the tracksaw rail firmly to the wood you're sawing, especially for large sheets. Drilling a hole in the hold-down and screwing it into place helps with alignment as well. Line up one end of the hold-down, insert the screw, and then align the other end without worrying about it shifting. I use two of these hold-downs, one at each end of the tracksaw rail, for extra stability. The design ensures a tight fit - simply tap it in with a small hammer and back off again to secure it properly. This approach works well even with the Festool rail, and I suspect that Makita, Triton, and DeWalt rails are all compatible.
