Using M3 x 45 steel bolts and nuts proved unnecessary, as they are pricey and hard to obtain in the US. Equally elusive were 1/8" bolts of similar length. I created digital models of these pins, finding them to be an incredibly snug fit within the track pieces. Once installed, I pressed on the "nuts" and secured them with adhesive. Further testing is pending due to unfinished printing on the sprockets and uncertainty regarding bearings or servo acquisition. Still, I see no reason to believe that plastic pins won't meet requirements. This assembly began by downloading a model from Inventor's content library. Inspection reveals that threads are merely graphical representations; upon STL export, these pins become plain sticks.
