Based on viktor3d's 'breakapart' of the Dusseldorf larynx model (I think). I was tinkering in Tinkercad and was able to remove the transverse plate that was blocking the trachea from being a tube. Still has the little nubs from the thyroid cart in the cricothyroid joint facets, but they pop out okay.

Prints best at 60 degrees as in the file (the supports behind the trachealis muscle are much easier to remove). Leaves some supports up the middle, but not like trying to print it vertically or horizontally with the plate I removed still there.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Anycubic

Printer:

All-metal Mega

Rafts:

Yes

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

20%

Filament: Anycubic PLA White

Notes:

Prints best (with easiest removal of supports) as angled in the file (60 degrees)
Must have a raft (since there's no real surface area at the bottom.
I used 15% supports

Otherwise the default 'Draft - 0.2mm' settings in Cura

Category: Biology
