Trach security strap
prusaprinters
This is a cheap and simple way to prevent a ventilator hose from disconnecting from a trach. It's designed to work with Shiley branded trachs although it should work with other brands as well. You can now rest easy knowing your hose won't unexpectedly disconnect.Print in whatever TPU brand you prefer, I happen to use Sainsmart "Liquid Luster". Instructions:1. Print both parts/straps flattest side down2. Slide the rectangle end of each part onto your trach tie and slide past the velcro towards the back of your neck.3. Secure the velcro to your trach then slide each rectangle part back over the velcro towards the trach.4. Guide the "B" hook through the "A" loop, pull back toward the "B" strap and hook onto one of the honeycomb segments, it should be secure but not overly tight.
