Tracer (HotS)

University Assignment The objective was to create a character from Heroes of the Storm, replicating it as closely as possible to the original. Painting the texture and adding weapons were also part of the task, but I didn't have enough time for these, so they were skipped. This was my first high-poly model attempt, despite which I hope you still appreciate the result. As a big fan of Overwatch and Tracer in particular, I jumped at the chance to take on this challenge. However, it proved to be more difficult than expected, with only two or three simple sculptures completed before I began working on Tracer. After realizing how complex high-poly sculpting is, my respect for Renaud Galand's original work has grown even greater. You can find his model at Artstation https://www.artstation.com/artwork/W3RKX. Sculpting took approximately 100 hours to complete. Retopo and UV Unwrapping added another 15 hours of effort. I learned a significant amount from this project, but there is still room for improvement. My normal map doesn't quite meet my expectations, which means I need to focus on retopo techniques in the next step of my learning journey.
