TR6 courtesy light plinth
thingiverse
This is a sleek mounting plinth for a modern gearbox tunnel courtesy light, a cutting-edge innovation inspired by the original equipment on early models. It features a compact LED light bar as seen in the accompanying photos, providing ample brightness to illuminate the dashboard from between the seats with crystal clarity. I discovered a 2-pack of these units at a local Menard's store, making it an affordable upgrade for any vehicle. To print this design, simply invert the model and add support for the light bar area to prevent warping or other defects. Although my printed model exhibits a slight layer shift toward the top, it is barely noticeable once installed, so I opted not to reprint with improved settings. For secure mounting, I employed a strip of hook side of hook & loop tape, which adheres firmly to the carpet.
