The Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD), often referred to as Pt100, has an initial electrical resistance of 100Ω at a temperature of 0°C (32°F). Complying with IEC 60751 standards, the RTD's resistance increases with temperature due to its platinum material composition, making it a Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) element. The temperature coefficient is fixed at α = 0.00385 °C-1, determined within the range of 0°C to 100°C (32°F to 212°F), according to ITS90 (International Temperature Scale 1990). The RTD's measuring range extends from -200°C to 600°C (-328°F to 1112°F), with a pressure tolerance of up to 50 bar (725 psi) and an IP 68 degree of protection.
