I've modified the standard hexagon extruder body to eliminate the gap under the idler, making it easier to print flexible filaments without them binding under the idler. Rather than installing an extra part like the Flexystruder, my alteration provides a seamless solution that allows you to swap out your existing extruder body and start printing right away. This extruder body is identical to the one used in LulzBot TAZ 5 and TAZ 6, as well as the Lulzbot Mini 3D Printer Extruder Tool Heads v2 and v2.1. According to lulzbot.com, this modification will also work with Lulzbot Mini 1, Lulzbot TAZ 6, Lulzbot TAZ 5, Lulzbot TAZ Dual Extruder, Lulzbot TAZ FlexyDually, and Lulzbot Hexagon All Metal Hot End. A photo of a calibration cube printed with this extruder body is included, showcasing its effectiveness in producing high-quality prints.
