TPU Feet for Prusa i3 MK3
thingiverse
These replacement feet are designed specifically for the Prusa i3 MK3, and they need to be printed with flexible material like TPU in order to work properly. **Don't even think about printing them without a flexible material, or you'll be out of luck!** The original rubber feet on the Prusa i3 MK3 tend to come loose when the printer is moved, which isn't exactly what you want from your printer's feet. They're also not doing a great job of distributing the weight of the printer evenly. These new feet are designed to be pushed into place without having to take apart the entire printer. If printed correctly, they can even be pried out again without having to unscrew the end plates - but don't expect them to come out easily! My printer sits on a stainless steel table that's prone to vibrating and amplifying printing noise at certain speeds. Printing these feet longer (50mm) helped spread the weight of the printer over a bigger area, which in turn reduced the open space between the feet and silenced the drum-like effect. I've added a customizer so anyone can print whatever length they need. The STL files are attached for three different lengths: * A short 8mm piece that's perfect for testing whether there's enough flex to insert and remove the feet. * A square 30x30mm foot. * My personal favorite, the 30x50mm size.
