TPL's High Park/Wychwood/Beaches Library Branches (Original Architectural Designs)
thingiverse
As part of Toronto Public Library's centenary celebration for its High Park, Wychwood, and Beaches branches, this model showcases original architectural designs created by Eden Smith & Sons in 1916. Each branch was built using a $50,000 grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, with three identical buildings making up the trio. Toronto Public Library staff designed the model, utilizing SketchUp Pro, with Marek Holly at the helm. The design was divided into sections using NetFabb software. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3 mm or less Infill: 5% or higher Notes: This print did not include a raft due to the heated bed on the Taz5, necessary for cold build plates. The model was designed to be printed at 0.3 mm layer height or less and prints best with rectilinear infill pattern. Assembly Order: Several options are available for printing this model. Option 1: Print all eight separate pieces (Front, Back, Left, Right, Body 1, Body 2, Body 3, and Body 4). Glue the four body pieces together. Next, glue the left and right sides, followed by the front and back. Option 2: Print all four side pieces (Front, Back, Left, and Right) along with the main body piece (Main Body). Glue the left and right sides, followed by the front and back. Option 3: Simply print the full model with supports enabled.
