TPA3116D2 TPA3116 BT sanwu Remix
thingiverse
This thing is a remix from the original TPA3116D2 TPA3116 BT sanwu by vladimir4. The original version implied to desolder the speaker terminals from the PCB and didn't have enough room to accommodate the modifications I wanted to implement. This version has an enlarged back with plenty of space to fit two banana terminals and a 4700µf 35v electrolytic capacitor between the power source and the PCB power terminal. Additionally, I designed a holder for the capacitor and a bleeding resistor of 1KOhm. This holder is printed apart from the body and should be glued only after running all the wires. In the front, I installed a 3 pin, 2 position On-On Toggle Switch that connects the power in one position and cuts it off while discharging the capacitor through the bleeding resistor in another. I also enlarged the PCB support holes to fit four female brass PCB spacers, which I glued to the body. The PCB is mounted on the spacers and secured with M2 nuts. All parts were sourced from eBay, and the images will help you identify each one. As mentioned by vladimir4 in the original part comments, this piece of hardware is quite stable, and I'm very happy with the final result. You can also find the Fusion 360 file that I created to modify the original STL files. This way, you can adapt it to your needs. WARNING: The 1KOhm resistor works for 12V, but later I changed the power supply to 24V and increased the bleeding resistor value to 3.3KOhm. I included a circuit simulation that you can open in https://www.falstad.com/circuit/ and check which values to use with different voltages (ignore the 1 Ohm and the load resistor). My configuration is working fine, but use it at your own risk. Happy printing!
