TP Wet Palette
thingiverse
This is a wet palette sized specifically for standard US sheets of toilet paper. I sized it this way to make it very easy to refill without needing to cut multiple sheets of paper towel to size. It still requires a piece of parchment paper to be cut but there is a hold down ring that can be used as a template for the parchment paper sheets. The lid fits very tight which I hope will keep it from drying out too quickly but if you want a looser fitting lid then I would recommend scaling the lid down 1% or the tray up 1%. I just finished the print so I am not sure how long it can stay wet but I will update the summary after testing. If I find that it dries out too quickly I will either design a TPU gasket for it or print the entire lid in TPU. More infill should help it stay damp longer however I printed it at 10% infill with no issues. I do recommend printing the hold down ring at 100% infill as it is there to keep the parchment paper from curling up at the edges and the weight helps. To use put a few individual sheets of toilet paper in the bottom. Then using the outside of the ring as a template cut a piece of parchment paper. Place the parchment paper on top of the toilet paper and the ring over the top of the parchment paper to keep it from curling up. Add at least enough water to soak the paper. Printed mine in some generic transparent PLA I found in the bottom of my filament collection but any filament should work fine. Designed in Sketchup Make 2017 (Remember when Sketchup wasn't bad). SKP file included if anyone wants to remix. Edit: Seems to be much more water tight than expected. There was almost no evaporation over the last 24 hours. It looks like a gasket will not be needed.
