This is a mounting bracket designed for holding a TP Link travel router. It was created with versatility in mind, allowing users to configure the device for various applications, such as a WiFi booster or repeater. The inspiration behind this design came from my experience using plug-in WiFi boosters, which often suffer from electromagnetic field interference caused by mains power cabling. I also found that standalone units with aerials looked unattractive. In contrast, TP Link travel routers are compact and easy to use, but they lack a secure mounting solution. To address this issue, the bracket is designed to fit 100% flush with the router, leaving only a small gap for the power lead. The reset button and RJ45 connection are blanked off, ensuring a sleek appearance. To remove the router from the bracket, users must carefully pry it out using the three corners with a small gap. Alternatively, you can remix the design to create a hole in the back of the bracket, allowing the router to be pushed through. The two screw holes are located on a plate at the bottom of the bracket, making it easy to remove the entire assembly without disturbing the router. If you choose to modify the design by removing the flange and countersinking the screws, be aware that the unit may be difficult to remove quickly due to its tight fit.
