Every boy need a toy. Old boys use computers, small boys needs something simple. Here are promised rope drums for construction crane on rails https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4858342 Drums should be glued on top of carriage load.Single drum is intended for hook rope, double to accomodate slider ropes. Slider ropes are pulling slider along slide rail, which is glued under crane arm. One section of double drum reel the rope while second unreel. Watch the direction of rope winding preparing Your crane for work. Balance mechanism is intended to lock the drum, preventing unreel rope under load. Ends need file to fit gear teeths. Glue some steel nuts on top to make load. You will need few rells with roll clamp to glue in appropriate place and direct ropes. Attention - all parts should be scaled down approx 1/3 to fit crane base - sorry, You have to test it. Print base first and check. In addition slide rail, slider, reel and hook. I made it before, but anyway...this is second design, mayby better, sure with different code.
