ToyREP Power Supply Cover
thingiverse
This upgrade enhances the [ToyREP 3D Printer](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:945156), allowing you to integrate an LED power supply under the Y axis, making it a solid part of the printer. The cover is available in two sizes. Use ToyREP-PSU1 for dimensions 111x78x36mm or ToyREP-PSU2 for 129x99x38mm. Instructions are identical for both. It features a main power switch and covers all hazardous connections, making the printer safer. As mentioned earlier in the printer description, a 40W 12V supply should suffice for the hotend and movement. For the [100x100mm heat bed](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1008121), an additional 40W is required, totaling approximately 80W. I currently use a 75W PSU, which is sufficient for printing once heaters are heated up and energy consumption is low, but caution must be exercised to avoid switching the heat bed and hotend simultaneously. The main drawback of this upgrade is that the power supply must be installed at the beginning of ToyREP assembly. Any later upgrades will require disassembling most of the printer.
