PCB heatbed for ToyREP 3D Printer and other small machines. This design courtesy of Dan Kolar, who graciously allowed its publication on my account. Please acknowledge him as the true creator behind this innovative heatbed. Working Area: 100x100mm Mounting holes are spaced 105x105mm apart. The total PCB size is a square, measuring 120x120mm. The copper layer is precisely 35 microns thick. Keep in mind that the CNC milled prototype may not perform optimally due to its fabrication process and final sanding. For the best results, try using etching instead of milling. Key parameters for this design: Heatbed resistance is approximately 4.8 OHM. With a supply voltage of 12V, expect about 2.5A, which translates to roughly 30W. In ideal conditions, you can reach up to 116°C in just 15-20 minutes. Watch the heatbed in action at https://youtu.be/2MR6av5BDxU. Instructions for Assembling: Firstly, follow the schematics provided within the Thing Files. These files are tailored for Eagle 6+, or you can opt for the included PNG file. For accurate results, make sure to use photo etching instead of any other method. Avoid using a low-resolution picture found in our Picture Gallery. Parts required: * 2pcs SMD LEDs (0805 size) * 1pc SMD resistor with 470R value * Epcos thermistor * About 350mm of dual wire for both power supply and thermistor connection * A 2-pin connector designed specifically for the thermistor Surface Preparation: Utilize a smooth 110x110x3mm glass sheet as your print surface. Ensure it's properly positioned on each corner with 10x10mm cut-outs for easy alignment.
