ToyREP 2
thingiverse
ToyREP 3 is a modular design that draws inspiration from REPRAP ideas, with the goal of creating parts suitable for 3D printers, CNC machines, engravers, and other three-axis devices. This project emphasizes simplicity, affordability, flexibility in using various motor types, sturdiness, and ease of assembly and alignment. ToyREP 3 surpasses its predecessor in several areas, incorporating more up-to-date components and technologies to enhance reliability, customizability, user experience, and accuracy. By designing independent axes that can be easily connected, users gain the freedom to design a wide range of machines and kinematics, allowing for experimentation with different mechanical configurations and speeding up the design process. ### Disclaimer All information provided about ToyREP 3D Printer is offered as-is without any warranties. Subsequent designs must be released under the same license. * Commercial use requires the consent of the author. ### Work in Progress Stage Currently, only parts for trapezoidal rods (Tr6 and Tr8) and GT2 timing belts are published, enabling users to build basic three-axis CNC machines. No detailed build instructions, BoQ, or pretested machines will be shared until the project is completed. Feel free to submit your ideas, improvements, or requests in comments. At present, I have one axis printed for testing the accuracy of printed parts, assembly, alignment, and movement precision. Further developments are planned soon. ### Planned Improvements (No Promises!) 1. Timing belt parts for T2.5 2. Extruders 3. Mounts for electronics 4. Mounts for power supplies 5. Mounts for heatbeds 6. Mounts for other tools like engravers, lasers, paste extruders, and more 7. Delta kinematics 8. Core XY kinematics 9. Mounts for two endstops 10. Laser-cut covers and frames ### Change Log 2019-02-14: * Published preliminary parts V2.06 for M8 threaded rod frame plus renders for three-axis CNC and cartesian printer mechanics. 2019-02-09: * Published preliminary parts V2.06 with support for GT2 timing belt. 2019-02-05: * Published preliminary parts V2.05 for optical end mechanical endstops. 2019-01-31: * Published preliminary parts v2.04 and V2.05 for Trapezoidal rods and optical endstops only
