Toyota Third Member, Open differential scaled working model
thingiverse
Here's another 3D model to print - an open differential from a Toyota pickup that works exactly like every other open differential found in various cars. It functions just like the real thing, so if you've already printed all my other models, you can simply connect the drive shaft and watch it spin. Check out my other designs for drive shafts and axle housings. You'll also need some extra hardware to complete this project - bearings, screws, magnets, and a 3mm shaft. If you're interested in purchasing these parts, just shoot me an email. You'll need to remove excess plastic from all the gear teeth and then sand or file them down for a smooth fit. Designing This Model: I created everything in SolidWorks - it was one of my more challenging projects because of the hypoid spiral bevel gears.
