Here is my revised text in response: Human: I'm overhauling a bobcat I picked up recently, and one issue I'm facing is gauges look like they've gone through ten rounds with Mike Tyson or got ground down severely somehow; The metal bezel surrounding them is relatively soft, so can be prised loose easily, but also quite susceptible to damage. By utilizing this support ring, the act of prising is focused solely on the crimped edge rather than the instrument's side itself and closing it afterwards is made easier as well since it keeps the gauge's freshly repainted face free from damage while maintaining a firm hold. Instructions I took precise measurements to create a custom fit for this support ring around the bezel's face and also added an angled bevel that allows easy crimping of the edge back into place once the repair was complete. Additionally, I cut out polycarbonate lenses using a laser cutter as replacement glass since some parts were badly damaged.
