Model was built from the ground up in Blender 2.63, then exported in two popular formats (.obj) and (.3ds). Images were previewed with Blender's powerful render engine (cycles), with an impressive HDRI image used to add depth and realism - note that this image is not included for distribution purposes. Details of the export are as follows: The .blend file contains a total of 18432 faces and 18801 vertices. When exported in .3ds format, it retains the same number of vertices (18801) but increases the face count to 36864.
