Thanks to its high efficiency, the engine boasts the lowest emissions and fuel consumption in its class, emitting 270g/km of carbon dioxide and achieving an official 27.7mpg in combined cycle driving. Moreover, it is incredibly resilient, engineered to perform flawlessly in temperatures ranging from -30 to +50°C. The V8 is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission featuring a manual sequential gear selection mode. As befits a serious off-roader, it incorporates low ratio gearing.
