Toyota Key Fob Enclosure (3 Button)

Toyota Key Fob Enclosure (3 Button)

This is a remix of xdcmx's key fob enclosure to accommodate the panic button on the back of the Toyota key fobs. Prints flat without supports. This should replace the plastic enclosure on TOY44 and TOYMT40 key fobs.I broke the plastic enclosure on my key fob for my old(er) Toyota. I liked xdcmx's design, but I wanted to retain the functionality of having the panic button on the back of the key fob. I measured out the size and location of the button and made a new model of the original design that will leave an empty space where the panic button can be accessed.Assembly is somewhat complicated. You will need to remove the red rubber panic button covering from your original key fob, and remove any hard plastic parts that are stuck to it (I used a scalpel for this). You would then insert it face-down into the 3d-printed key fob enclosure. I applied a small amount of super glue to ensure that the rubber button will not shift around. Once any glue is dry, you can insert the electrical components of the key fob and snap the enclosure together. So far this has held up to one-month's daily use and does not show any signs of breaking down, shifting, or coming apart.
