A single basket could be used for left and right sides, but the rotation of the speaker itself would be off - a small detail. These baskets require the top cap with a 1/4" foam surround if you want them to fit factory snug to the door cards. There is also a wire harness clip to replace the bracket screwed to the bottom of the factory speaker (on some models).
