I created a custom cover for my dad's 2006 Toyota Corolla Wagon, filling in the missing piece. The car is a reliable and practical vehicle that serves its purpose well. To print this cover, I chose the Anet A8 printer, selecting specific settings to achieve the desired outcome. Rafts were not required, so they were disabled, and supports were also omitted as they weren't necessary for this design. The resolution was set at 0.2 millimeters, a standard setting for most prints, and the infill density was adjusted to 30%, allowing for a balance between strength and material efficiency. The notes section of the print settings provided an opportunity to make adjustments to the infill pattern, which could be customized to suit various design requirements. I decided that the infill could be anything really, giving me flexibility in terms of appearance and functionality. Using Tinkercad, I designed this piece from scratch, taking into account its intended purpose and the characteristics of the Anet A8 printer. The result was a functional cover that fitted perfectly on my dad's car, filling in the missing piece with style and precision.
