Toyota Clutch Slave Cylinder Retainer

Toyota was kind enough to create a clutch slave cylinder that is incredibly difficult to secure with a clamp. Even if you manage to get a c-clamp to fit, it's precarious and clunky, and since you have to move the slave cylinder assembly out of the way to drop the transmission, you're essentially inviting a puddle of hydraulic or brake fluid. If you search Google for a tool to keep the clutch slave cylinder from sliding out while swapping your transmission, you'll come up empty-handed. Fortunately, I'm not one to tolerate such frustration. Print this tool with 10-20 percent infill, no supports required, and attach it to the slave cylinder with the fasteners that originally secured it to the transmission. Now you can safely move it out of the way and drop that C5x transmission! Please warn your shop buddies not to press the clutch pedal if they have this installed. It's tough enough to retain the pin without additional force, but if you press the clutch while this is installed, you WILL break the device and gain the aforementioned puddle of brake fluid. Note that the holes are 8mm and may or may not engage thread on your bolts. My test print took the bolts like a champ and they're in there securely enough that I'm not worried about it falling off. If your prints are dimensionally subpar, don't worry. Simply poke those bolts through and secure it with a zip-tie or something similar.
